General Car Rental Terms & Conditions
By this agreement, the company DREAM HOME O.E., hereinafter referred to as Roadhouse Rent a Car, rents to the undersigned lessee the vehicle specified in this agreement (including any replacement vehicle) under the following terms and conditions, as well as those stated on the front side of this contract, which the lessee fully accepts.
Vehicle Condition and Return
The lessee confirms that they have received the vehicle, examined it, and found it to be in excellent condition and suitable for its intended use.
The lessee agrees to return the vehicle to DREAM HOME together with all documents, tools, and accessories accompanying it (including spare tire, jack, tools, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, warning triangle, antenna) in the same condition as received, at the place and time specified in this agreement.
If the vehicle is not returned at the agreed time, the lessee will be required to pay the standard rental charge for the additional use of the vehicle as well as compensation for any resulting damages. After a delay of 30 minutes beyond the agreed return time, the lessee will be charged one additional rental day.
DREAM HOME reserves the right to repossess the vehicle at any time without prior notice and without the lessee’s consent, at the lessee’s expense, if there is a risk of damage, loss of the vehicle, or risk of non-payment. The company also reserves the right to repossess the vehicle if it is used in violation of the terms of this agreement or beyond the agreed rental period.
Proper Use and Care of the Vehicle
During the rental period, the lessee and any person signing this agreement must use the vehicle properly and in accordance with its intended purpose.
The lessee is responsible for monitoring the mechanical condition of the vehicle, including checking oil levels, water levels, tire condition, and ensuring safe operation. The vehicle must be locked and protected using all available safety systems, and all reasonable measures must be taken to prevent theft or depreciation of the vehicle.
Extension of Rental Period
If the lessee wishes to extend the rental period, they must notify DREAM HOME in writing by email at least 24 hours before the expiration of the rental period and receive written approval, subject to vehicle availability.
Failure to do so may result in civil and criminal liability for unlawful use and possession of the vehicle.
Traffic Regulations
The lessee must comply with all applicable Greek Traffic Laws and any other traffic regulations.
Any fines, penalties, or violations incurred during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the lessee.
Prohibited Uses
The lessee is strictly prohibited from using the vehicle:
To transport heavy objects or excessive luggage
To carry more passengers than permitted by the vehicle registration
To sublease or rent the vehicle to third parties
To participate in motor races or competitions
To allow anyone not listed in the rental agreement to drive the vehicle
Accident or Incident Procedures
In the event of an accident or other incident (such as fire, theft, etc.), the lessee or additional driver must immediately:
Not admit liability or accept claims from third parties
Record the names and addresses of witnesses
Record the details of the other driver and vehicle involved
Notify the police so that liability can be determined and any injured persons assisted

Collect any available information from third parties
Take photographs of the accident scene and vehicles involved if possible
Within 24 hours, the lessee must complete and sign an accident or theft report and provide all relevant documents or information to DREAM HOME.
In the event of theft or loss of the vehicle, the lessee must report the incident in writing to the nearest police authority within 24 hours.
Authorized Drivers
The vehicle may only be driven by the lessee and, if applicable, one additional driver declared in the rental agreement.
Drivers must be between 25 and 75 years old and must hold a valid Greek, European, or International driving license (together with the original license if issued outside the Schengen area), which must have been issued at least one year prior to the rental date.
Fuel Policy
Fuel costs are the responsibility of the lessee. Only unleaded gasoline may be used.
Unused fuel is non-refundable.
Maintenance and Repairs
Regular maintenance of the vehicles is provided by DREAM HOME.
In case of repairs or damage restoration, the lessee may choose a repair workshop only after consultation with DREAM HOME. Any downtime due to repairs may be charged to the lessee.
Tires are replaced regularly due to natural wear. However, damages caused by improper use (such as hitting curbs or potholes) are the responsibility of the lessee.
Transport and Geographic Restrictions
The vehicle may not be transported on ferries without prior written approval from the rental company.
The vehicle may not be taken outside Greece.
Illegal Use
The transportation of flammable materials, pollutants, narcotics, or any illegal goods is strictly prohibited.
The vehicle may not be used for any unlawful activity. Any damages resulting from such use are the sole responsibility of the lessee.
Personal Belongings
DREAM HOME bears no responsibility for the loss of personal belongings of the lessee or passengers during the rental period.
Liability Disclaimer
The lessee expressly agrees that DREAM HOME bears no responsibility for any direct or indirect damages suffered by the lessee or third parties during the rental period.
No claims may be raised against the company for such damages.
Personal Data
The lessee agrees to the recording of their personal data in an electronic file maintained by DREAM HOME.
DREAM HOME reserves the right to use this data if the lessee provides false information or violates the terms of this agreement and may disclose the information to authorities if there are suspicions of criminal or other unlawful activity.
Pets Policy
Pets are not allowed in the vehicle.
Insurance Terms
Full Insurance (Full Cover)
The Full Insurance includes:
Third Party Liability
Partial or Total Theft
Glass Breakage
Damage to the rented vehicle with excess liability
The insurance does not cover:
Damage to the interior of the vehicle
Traffic fines
Mechanical damage caused by driver negligence
Damage to exterior mirrors
Tire damage
Damage to the underside of the vehicle
Broken locks or forced locks
Loss of the vehicle antenna
Damage caused by traffic violations (running a stop sign, red light violation, speeding etc.)
Excess Amount
The renter is liable for any damages during the rental period regardless of fault. The renter’s liability is limited per damage to the applicable excess amount plus VAT, provided that all terms and conditions of the rental agreement are respected.
Damage to tires, windows, the interior of the vehicle, and the underside of the car are not covered. Damages occurring during loading, unloading, or transport of the vehicle on ships, trains, or other means of transport are also not covered.
Vehicle Keys
The renter is responsible for the vehicle keys. Loss of the key is not covered by insurance.
Payment Terms for Reservations
To complete a reservation, the customer must prepay the full rental amount using one of the following methods.
Bank Deposit
Payment must be completed within 6 hours, otherwise the reservation may be cancelled.
If the vehicle pick-up time is less than 6 hours away, payment must be completed immediately.
Credit or Debit Card
Upon vehicle collection from our offices or stations, a credit card pre-authorization (Visa or Mastercard) may be required as a rental guarantee.
Payment Authentication Services
Payments are supported by Verified by Visa and Mastercard SecureCode authentication services.
These services provide additional protection for online card payments through authentication provided by the issuing bank and its partners.
Even if the issuing bank of your card does not yet participate in these services, the transaction will still be securely processed.
Cancellation Policy
In case of cancellation, DREAM HOME reserves the right to retain the following cancellation fees:
30% of the total rental cost for cancellations made up to 6 days before the rental start date
5% of the total rental cost for cancellations made 1 to 5 days before the rental start date
If the rental is cancelled on the same day or in case of no-show, the full rental amount is non-refundable
If the cancellation is made 7 days or more before the rental start date, no cancellation or administrative fees apply
If Dream Home Rent a Car has already received a deposit or full payment, the amount will be refunded either by bank cheque or bank transfer to an account in the renter’s name.
If the vehicle is returned earlier than the agreed rental period, no refund will be issued.
Additional Terms
The vehicle always remains the property of DREAM HOME. This agreement constitutes only a rental contract and does not grant the lessee any ownership rights.
Any additional drivers are jointly and severally liable together with the lessee.
This agreement supersedes any previous written or verbal agreements between DREAM HOME and the lessee.
Any modification of the terms is valid only if agreed in writing.
These terms remain valid in cases of rental extensions or vehicle replacement.
In case of discrepancies between copies of this agreement, the original copy held by DREAM HOME prevails.
All parties acknowledge and accept the above terms as essential conditions of the agreement.
Changes to reservations may result in price recalculation based on availability, applicable rates, return station, and other factors.
Governing Law
This agreement is governed by Greek law.
Any dispute arising from this agreement shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gythio, Greece.
Declaration
The lessee declares that they have read, understood, and fully accepted the above terms and conditions and agrees to comply with them.
Additional Charges and Acceptance of Agreement
The renter is responsible for any additional charges provided for in this rental agreement. All charges are subject to final inspection and confirmation after the return of the vehicle.
The renter declares that they have received a copy of the rental agreement and have read and accepted all of its terms and conditions.
By signing the rental agreement, the renter authorizes the rental company to charge the provided credit or debit card for the rental payment as well as for any additional charges that may arise during or after the rental period, including traffic fines, damages, or other applicable fees.
